KHS WILDLIFE CONSERVATION CLUB
Purpose/Mission Statement:
1. The club is open to any student enrolled in Keene High or North Campus.
2. Promote, develop and teach awareness of ecological principles related to natural resources.
3. Promote, develop and teach safe and ethical use of our natural resources.
4. To instill respect and appreciation of New Hampshire’s natural resources.
5. Give students an opportunity to learn and participate in life long activities.
6. Work closely with NH Fish and Game Agency to learn about our natural resources, create habitat, remove invasive species, restore natural areas, Salmon restoration, creel surveys and tagging fish and animals.
7. Bring in members of the community to make presentations and to discuss pertinent topics with club members.
8. Create a mentor system to help bring the joy of our natural resources to youth in our community that may not have the opportunity.
Code of Conduct/Constitution
1. All Keene High School rules and code of conduct apply to all outings and meetings. If you misbehave in any way that is out of character with what is expected of you, you will be reprimanded according to the schools discipline policy.
2. We will represent Keene High School and the WCC in a positive manner.
3. The club will follow all laws and regulations put forth by NH fish and Game.
4. Every club member will have an equal opportunity to participate and learn through the club.
5. Club members will meet bi-monthly.
6. Club members will be required to participate in fundraising activities.
7. Funds raised by the club will go to offset trip costs and purchase equipment for those that may not be able to purchase equipment themselves.
